Evansville Police are searching for a robbery suspect that could be connected to multiple crimes in a short period of time.

According to an EPD report, police responded to a hold up at Sam’s Food Mart on West Columbia Sunday around 5:30 p.m.

The man was wearing a black bandanna on their face, dark colored hoodie, and dark pants, according to the report.

Clerks at the convenience store said they demanded money and mentioned having a gun before they recognized the person as the same man who attempted to rob the store a week earlier.

One of the clerks told police they threw objects at the robber forcing him to run out of the store.

While police investigated at the Sam’s Food Mart, a second robbery call came out at Virginia Street Food Mart.

The description of the robber at the store, matched the one given at Sam’s Food Mart 30 minutes earlier.

Police said the man never showed a gun at Sam’s Food Mart, but employees at Virginia Street said the suspect did show a gun.

The man was described as 5’8″-5’9″, skinny, with blue eyes.

No arrests have been made.
