Evansville school teacher recognized for outstanding efforts

Resurrection Middle School students surprised one of their teachers for her outstanding efforts.

Jennifer Baehl was recognized by the local Air Force Association Chapter as its ‘Teacher of the Year’.
Mrs. Baehl is Resurrection’s junior high Science teacher.

Other teachers say she puts 110% in all she does for her students and her school.

“It’s very special for a lot of reasons. First of all, I love teaching, and it just kind of validates and makes you feel really good about what you do each day. The fact that it is a military award is really exciting too, and the fact that I got it today, and it is my dad’s birthday today and he is in the military, so it is kind of fitting.”

In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Baehl coordinates the school’s Seaperch Underwater Robotics Program, the Academic Bowl Science Team and the You Be The Chemist Challenge.
