A massive sinkhole on Baker Avenue is causing problems, but now crews are working to repair it.
Evansville Water and Sewer Utility has started to repair the sinkhole on Baker at East Missouri Street.
The hole is now about the size of the street and Baker Avenue is closed.
It looks like the workers are replacing water pipes.
Repairs should be complete later this week.
The sinkhole at the intersection of Baker and Missouri has started to be filled. Crews are out today fixing it up, although the street is now fully closed if you want to go north. The city said that it would be done yesterday, weather permitting, but is taking longer. pic.twitter.com/MX4tc5gxqq— Cameron Witte (@CamBehindTheCam) February 26, 2019
