EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The NCAA Division II basketball championship will not be played in Evansville in 2020, despite the fact the Ford Center is set to host the DII Elite Eight for three more years.

Evansville Sports Corp. announced on Wednesday that it will still host the quarterfinals and semifinals in 2020.

The championship game will return to Evansville in 2021 and 2022, the Sports Corp. said.

Our media partner the Evansville Courier & Press reports that, in 2020, the NCAA plans to host the national championships for men and women’s basketball for Division I, II, and III all in Atlanta.
