Part of Evansville’s history will be flying home this weekend.

The Freedom Heritage Museum is making it possible for the P-47s to return to town on Saturday, July 6th. The museum is a not-for-profit organization in Evansville, dedicated to highlighting the city’s manufacturing support during World War II.

The planes will be on display from 8-10:30a.m. Saturday at Bizal Hangar, which is located next to the Dairy Queen on Highway 41, near Evansville Regional Airport.

Veterans will have the opportunity to have their picture taken next to one of the planes, and local author Harold B. Morgan will be there to sign copies of his book, “Home Front Warriors”.

To RSVP, please call (812)759-8186.
