The Evansville Police chaplain undergoing treatment for leukemia appears to be in remission.

Nathan Schroer works as a detective out of Holly’s House. He beat leukemia once in 2009, but it came back earlier this year.

The EPD’s Facebook page shared news from his family tonight saying all his blood work is improving after his chemotherapy. The family says the doctor still has a few more tests to do before officially saying Nathan is in remission, but they are very hopeful.
