Fields in Owensboro Ready for Fast Pitch Softball Tournament

Thousands are descending on the Tri-State this week for the NSA Girls’ Fast Pitch World Series.

In Owensboro, two of the venues are ready for the tournament on Tuesday morning.

Daviess County parks officials say workers at Panther Creek Park, one of the venues, spent the past several days getting fields ready.

Teams are also set to play at Jack Fisher Park just off of West Fifth St.

Ross Leigh of Daviess County Parks says the rain hasn’t hurt conditions, but they’re prepared for anything.

Tuesday’s games are scheduled to start at 8 a.m.
