Firefighters respond to a house fire in Evansville. It happened in the Jimtown neighborhood on Columbia Street near Garvin Park.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 5 p.m. and say it started in the back of the two-story house.

Flames then spread inside – on both floors.

Firefighters say the damage was extensive.

There were people inside the home at the time of the fire, but no one was injured.

The home is likely a total loss.

Smoke could be seen from Ellis Park in Henderson, Kentucky.
