Former CEO of Starbucks speaks with Purdue University students

A possible 2020 presidential candidate visited Indiana this week.

Howard Schultz, the former CEO of Starbucks, spoke with Purdue University students on Thursday.

While speaking, Schultz criticized the effectiveness of the federal government.

Schultz also criticized the existence of a two-party system and described the impact a third political party could make in the upcoming election.

“Our political class in Washington, DC is not solving the problems we need to solve in order to make the future of America brighter and better for your generation. Our politicians seem mired every single day in revenge politics. The American people are exhausted by it.”

Last week, Schultz said that he would be heavily interested in a presidential run as an independent.
