A former Indianapolis Police officer is sentenced today after being convicted for driving drunk and causing a deadly accident. A judge sentenced David Bisard to 13 years in prison today in Fort Wayne.
A jury found him guilty earlier this month for causing an accident with his squad car that killed a motorcyclist and seriously injured two others. Blood samples show Bisard had a .19 blood alcohol level.
He resigned from the police department on Monday.
