HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Former Kentucky Attorney General Ben Chandler was in Henderson to talk about — what he says — is a vaping crisis across the state.

Chandler is now the head of the foundation for a healthy Kentucky.

He spoke today at the rotary club about the health risks associated with vaping — and how hard those risks are on your body.

“Among other things it causes addiction and causes not only addiction immediately to nicotine, but it changes the pathways in your brain and causes you to be more susceptible to other addictions.”

Chandler says the legal age to vape needs to be raised from 18 to 21.
