Former Martin County deputy accused of dealing prescription drugs

A Former Martin County Sheriff’s deputy has been arrested and charged with dealing prescription drugs.

According to Indiana State Police, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office contacted its Jasper post late in 2017, requesting a special investigation into Deputy Danny Salmon.

Through its investigation, ISP said troopers determined that Salmon had sold hydracodone and tramadol on multiple occasions in the fall of 2017.

Salmon was arrested over the weekend.

He now faces a felony charge of dealing a controlled substance.
