OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – People across the Tri-State and the nation joined Evansville and Henderson in remembering those who died on 9/11.
In Owensboro, the annual Freedom Walk happened Wednesday morning, ending at the Charles Shelton Memorial in Smothers Park.
The event started with a walk from the Owensboro Fire Department station on West Ninth Street that included several first responders.
There was also a short memorial service.
This was the 18th year the walk was held.
