Friday is National Wear Red Day

Friday is National Wear Red Day, a day that highlights heart health awareness.

February is American Heart Month, which began in 1964.

People are wearing red to show support for the fight against heart disease and stroke.

The American Heart Association said heart disease is the number one killer of people in the nation.

Every 80 seconds, a woman dies from heart disease.
