Even 17 years after her daughter went missing, a western Kentucky mother hasn’t given up hoping she’s still alive. Heather Teague’s mother, Sarah, along with friends and supporters gathered at Henderson’s Central Park to mark the 17th anniversary of her disappearance. Years later, Teague is raising money to establish an annual $1,000 scholarship in her daughter’s memory, awarded to students who show Heather’s same determination to succeed. Heather Teague was 23-years-old went she went missing from Newburgh Beach on this day back in 1995. Police were left without leads after the only suspect committed suicide a short time later.
