Services have been scheduled for Dr. Claudine Cutchin and her daughter Adelaide Cutchin after the two passed away in a car accident. Both women were members of the Oakland City University (OCU) family.
Visitation will take place February 7 from 9 a.m. – noon in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel, IL.
The funeral service will immediately follow visitation at noon.
Dr. Cutchin was a 23-year employee of the university. She was Registrar from 1994-1999. She became part of the history faculty in 1999. In 2008, Dr. Cutchin became Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences.
Adelaide Cutchin graduated from OCU with her bachelor’s degree in December 2016.
On February 3, the university cancelled activities and classes in light of their passing.
