Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is ordering flags at all state office buildings to be lowered to half staff Monday in honor of a state police trooper killed in the line of duty.
Last week, Trooper Eric Chrisman was responding to a complaint of a reckless driver when he was involved in a fatal collision.
In a statement, Governor Beshear says he and First Lady Jane Beshear are deeply saddened by Chrisman’s death.
Funeral services are set for Monday in Lawrenceburg.
Governor Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, organizations, and government agencies to join in this tribute.
