Haynie’s Corner, Franklin St. to Hold Mardi Gras Celebrations

News

Businesses around Haynie’s Corner and Franklin St. will be buzzing on Friday night for Mardi Gras celebrations. The two districts are joining together for a two-day party this weekend.

The event officially kicks off at 5 p.m. but if last year’s turnout is any indication, it’s going to get pretty busy down there.

New this year, there are trolleys running from 5-10 p.m. between West Franklin St. and Haynie’s Corner.

You’ll have to get a wristband to enter the events on Franklin Street. There will be free cab rides and Uber will be providing links to coupons for first-time riders.

The cost for armbands at Franklin St. are $10 for both nights. The festivities run from 5 p.m. – 2 a.m.
