HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Two men were arrested after the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said they stole hemp plants from a local farm.
Officials tell us they were dispatched to Triple E Farms for someone stealing hemp.
According to a news release, the suspects ran away before police arrived.
Authorities said Aaron Peaugh and Dylan Wallace, both of Evansville, were later found and arrested.
Police believe Peaugh and Wallace tried to steal over 190 hemp plants.
They’re both charged with trafficking industrial hemp, possession of industrial hemp, criminal mischief and trespassing.
