A dead body has been found in a Henderson County mobile home where a young girl is rescued by sheriff’s deputies.

According to our media partner, The Courier & Press, Sunday afternoon, deputies went to a home in Spottsville for a welfare check.

When a deputy walked inside, he found the body of a 65-year-old man in the living room.

According to the Courier & Press, the deputy then walked to a bedroom where he found a 9-year-old special needs girl inside what’s known as a safety bed.

The girl isn’t able to walk on her own.

She had to be taken to Methodist Hospital to be treated for dehydration, and is currently in foster care.
