Henderson Community College’s nursing program is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

In 1963, HCC was the first Kentucky college to establish the two-year Associate Degree in Nursing.

Two years later, 13 students earned the first Associates Degrees in Nursing from HCC.

Monday at 6 p.m. in room 310 of the William L. Sullivan Technology Center, HCC will hold a celebration with memorabilia from the last 50 years on display.

Tours of the nursing department will also be provided—highlighting the simulation lab.
