Henderson’s emergency siren is out of service after strong winds damaged it last weekend. The siren is located at U.S. 41-A and South Green Street.

Henderson Fire Chief Scott Foreman said the city is in the process of replacing the siren.

The city’s Board of Commissioners approved emergency replacement of the siren at their meeting Tuesday night.

While the siren is out of service, Foreman suggests residents rely on a weather radio when there’s a threat of severe weather.
