Henderson parcels will be sold in a mass foreclosure

HENDERSON, KY, January 24, 2020– The City of Henderson said the next four parcels in the mass foreclosure will be sold by the Master Commissioner Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 10:30 a.m.

The first five parcels in the mass foreclosure were sold in December 2019 with Habitat for Humanity of Henderson acquiring two parcels and private citizens purchasing the other three.

The sale will take place at the Henderson County Judicial Center, Courtroom 201.

Here is a list of the properties and a few details about them:

  • 1409 O’Byrne St., vacant lot, zoned Audubon Residential District, size 33 by 133.
  • 1411 O’Byrne St., vacant lot, zoned Audubon Residential District, size 33 by 133.
  • 1032 First St., vacant lot, zoned Residential-3, size 50 by 200.
  • 1038 First St., house and lot, zoned Residential -3, size 50- by 200.


This is the second time in a little more than three years that the City of Henderson has pursued a mass foreclosure action to recover back taxes and code enforcement liens.
