Crews from the Henderson Water Utility are on the scene of two leaks in the raw water line that feeds the North Water Treatment Plant at 510 N. Water St.

The leaks should not require a boil advisory or order, according to the Henderson Water Utility.

The boil advisory shouldn’t be required because pressure and flow within the systems maintained normal levels Tuesday.

The leaks are on a 30” line that provides the water source for all of Henderson and much of Henderson County.

The main city water plant is shut down while the leaks are being repaired.

Operators at the plant filled the six water tanks in the city’s north system to capacity Monday night so that repairs can be made.

The water plant is capable of being shut down for most of an entire day, the utility said.

The North Water Treatment is expected to be back to normal sometime Tuesday afternoon.

Residents are asked to use caution when using North Water St. from 5th to 6th Streets due to crews working in the area.
