Some local high schoolers are showing off the fun side of science while piquing interests at a young age.
Some North High School students set up three science labs for students at Delaware Elementary School.
They demonstrated chemical reactions by putting items in liquid nitrogen, like gummy bears.
The idea? Get younger kids to have a greater appreciation for science.
“Science is something that really fundamental. If you think about it, we have these experiments that go on but don’t always go right. But, it’s something you can learn from these errors that you have, because science is learning from mistakes to know next it might work out or not, but it’s something you can apply to life,” said North High School Senior Levi Roth.
Roth says he put this project together to not only help others learn, but to also challenge himself.
