Wednesday is a big day for Holiday World. The theme park is officially turning 70-years-old.
The park has been celebrating this milestone all summer. The Freedom Train, the park’s original ride is now on display, along with a memories mosaic with 7,000 images taken throughout the decades.
Originally, it was just called Santa Claus Land, but it grew into the award-winning park it is today with 2,000 seasonal employees and 100 full-time.
Park officials say about 1 million visitors come to the park every season.
