Members of a southern Indiana veterans group are celebrating Wednesday at the Evansville Regional Airport.
At 2 p.m., Honor Flight of Southern Indiana will officially be recognized as a chartered hub of the national Honor Flight Network.
The Honor Flight Network transports American veterans to Washington D.C. in order to visit and reflect at their memorials.
Evansville’s next “Honor Flight” is scheduled for May 30.
The new hub will serve veterans in 14 southern Indiana counties.
