Honor Flight officials train guardians for October flight


EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Honor Flight of Southern Indiana is getting ready to embark on its next journey to our nation’s capitol.

And the preparation process includes extensive training.

Right now, Honor Flight officials are training guardians for the October flight.

Guardians accompany veterans – physically assisting them to the airport, during the flight, and at the memorials.

There will be another training day this Saturday starting at 9 a.m. at the Red Cross building in Evansville.

Honor Flight leaves on October 5th.
