The state of Illinois cracking down on dangerous bath salts.

Governor Bruce Rauner signed a bill on Monday called the Bath Salts Prohibition Act to prevent retailers from selling bath salts.

If they’re caught, retailers can lose their license and be charged with a felony. Violators can be fined as much as $25,000 and face up to five years in prison.

Bath salts are hallucinogenic drugs which can cause severe aggression — and are often disguised as other products.
