SPRINGFIELD, Ill (WEHT)- The Illinois Education Association has released its annual education report. The reports show that some residents are not impressed with public schools.
In a recent poll at least 1,000 residents gave a rating of C-minus to public schools. The state gave public schools an “A” or “B” grade. Illinois Association President Kathi Griffin said the report indicated more investment is needed in public schools.
More than half of those polled believe teachers are paid too little.
