Illinois lawmakers say they won’t meet the deadline set for them to fix the state’s pension crisis. The 10 person panel that’s supposed to hammer out a compromise meets for the second time today and says it will take about two weeks for them to make any headway.

Illinois is suffering from the worst pension problem in the country. Governor Pat Quinn called a special session to deal with the crisis, but the legislature has yet to meet.
