Illinois expanding Child Care Assistance program


ILLINOIS (WEHT) – Starting October 1, Illinois will expand its Child Care Assistance program.

Governor JB Pritzker says unemployed parents looking to get a job will be able to get three months of free child care assistance. Eligible child care workers will also get bonuses of up to $1,000.

There will also be $300 million in relief grants for child care providers across the state.
