IN Bill to Remove Double Tax on RV’s

News

A bill has been proposed in Indiana to exempt out-of-state RV buyers from having to pay a state sales tax.

Right now, six states have to pay that out-of-state sales tax if they buy an RV in Indiana.

One of them is Florida.

Meaning, if you live in Florida and come to Indiana to buy an RV, you are paying a double sales tax.

This new bill would remove that, meaning more people will be buying RV’s in the state of Indiana.

Our sister station WISH-TV in Indianapolis reports 75% of Indiana’s RV’s are built in the northern part of the state.
