Indiana girl being hailed as brave for helping police track her down

A 12-year-old Indiana girl is being called brave after she helped police track her down.

Seymour Police say around 9:30 a.m., a woman reported that her vehicle was missing, and her 12-year-old daughter was inside.

As officers were speaking with the woman, police received a 911 call from the woman’s daughter.

She told police an unknown woman took her mother’s vehicle and she was being held against her will.

Police said the girl stayed on the line with Dispatchers and continued to provide landmarks, which helped officers track down the vehicle.

Police say a 28-year-old Seymour woman who reportedly took the vehicle was arrested without incident.
