Federal judge to hear IU vaccine lawsuit mandate

INDIANA (WEHT) – A lawsuit challenging Indiana University’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate goes to federal court on Tuesday.

Eight IU students filed the suit against the university for requiring all students, faculty and staff to be vaccinated by the fall semester with exceptions for medical and religious restrictions. The lawsuit asks for the federal judge to put the mandate on hold until the end of the lawsuit.

A ruling is expected within two weeks.
