Indiana National Guard soldier dies in training accident

(CNN) – The Indiana National Guard says a soldier died in a tactical vehicle accident at Fort Hood, Texas.

Staff Aergeant Andrew Michael Saint John was on orders as an embedded “observer controller/trainer” during Thursday night’s accident.

Saint John was 29 years old.

The father and husband from Greenwood, Indiana, had been previously deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Authorities say his cause of death is under investigation.
