INDIANAPOLIS (WEHT)- A civilian employee is the third confirmed COVID-19 case within the Indiana State Police, according to a press release Monday.

Authorities say the employee is assigned to a field installation in southern Indiana, but did not say where in the region. The employee has been self quarantined since last week and received a test result Sunday.

The State Police are making notifications with coworkers and taking steps to disinfect the work area.
