ISP: Michigan residents arrested in Indiana with over 600 grams of weed


CROTHERSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Four Michigan residents were arrested on drugs and weapons charges near Crothersville, Indiana after police found over 600 grams of marijuana. That’s according to Indiana State Police.

Police say around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, a trooper stopped a vehicle on I-65 northbound for a traffic violation. The trooper said he could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Officers say over 600 grams of marijuana, meth, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun.

All four people in the vehicle were arrested on charges of dealing marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of a handgun without a permit, and possession of paraphernalia.

Twenty-three-year-old Mercedes N. Santibanez, 26-year-old Kera M. Jackson, 24-year-old Tylor L. Hintz and 21-year-old Anthony E. Jean, all of Lansing, Michigan, were all taken to the Jackson County Jail.
