Local McDonald’s owners deliver food to employees

Indiana News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – On Friday, local McDonald’s Owner/Operators Susan and Rick Mann delivered more than 130 pounds of ground beef to their employees.

“We heard that many of our crew members were searching for ground beef to make things like spaghetti, soups, and other meals that would go far to feed their families,” said Susan Mann. “Among other grocery items, ground beef has become hard to find, so we surprised each of our stores this morning with a delivery.”

The Mann family owns 8 stores in Evansville, Newburgh, Jasper, and Ferdinand and employs 375 members of those communities. The beef was purchased at Merkley & Sons, a locally-owned packing company in Jasper.

“Our people are most important right now,” said Mann. “We will look for any opportunity we can to help them and their families.”

In addition to this delivery, the Manns have surprised crew members with donuts and started theme days within the restaurants to keep spirits high. Mann said they plan to make other deliveries in the coming weeks to continue to support their “McFamily.”
