Saturday at approximately 10:33 p.m., Indiana State Police Trooper Hunter Manning was patrolling I-69 near the 23 mile-marker when he says he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.

Manning says he clocked the 1999 Lexus at 110 mph.

After Trooper Manning stopped the driver, he says an odor of burnt marijuana was detected inside the vehicle.

The driver has been identified as Matthew Curtis Reiter, 19, of Evansville.

Field sobriety tests indicated signs of impairment, according to authorities. ISP tells us further investigation revealed Reiter was under the influence of marijuana.

Reiter was arrested, taken to the Gibson County Jail, and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Marijuana).

He was later released after posting bond Sunday morning.
