ISP Trooper is in ICU, after he was allegedly shot by own son


An Indiana State Police Trooper in northern Indiana is recovering after he was allegedly shot by his own son.

The shooting happened on Thursday night near Elkhart, Indiana, authorities said.

The Trooper’s son was detained at the Juvenile Justice Center on a preliminary charge of attempted murder.

Local media said the Trooper is in the Intensive Care Unit after undergoing surgery.
