The City of Jasper is ranked among one of the safest cities in the Hoosier state.
That’s according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security.
To identify the safest cities in Indiana, the website reviewed the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report.
A total of 7,639 cities were factored in these rankings.
Cities were eliminated that failed to submit a complete crime report to the FBI and those with populations under 10,000.
Each city was ranked on its violent crimes, property crimes, violent crime rate and property crime rate.
Dyer is ranked as the safest city in Indiana, followed by Carmel, St. John, and Crown Point.
West Lafayette, Fishers, Valparaiso, and Munster rounded out the top 10.
