John Bolton hands in resignation, after being asked by President Trump to step down


WASHINGTON D.C. (WEHT) – President Donald Trump announced on Twitter Tuesday that National Security Advisor John Bolton was fired.

The president said he disagreed strongly with many of Bolton’s suggestions, and therefore, he asked for his resignation.

Bolton resigned Tuesday morning, according to the president.

A new advisor is expected to be named next week.
