As 8-month-old Wyatt Hill recovers in a Louisville Hospital, the man accused of injuring him appeared in a Hopkins County court.

Bobby Rushing has been charged with First Degree Assault in the case.

Judge David Massamore, who entered a Not Guilty plea on Rushing’s behalf, put a $2000 bond on Rushing a few weeks ago because he did not have all the details on the case, which included the severity of the child’s injuries.

Rushing is scheduled to reappear in court on Thursday morning.
