Kentucky man who led KSP on two-county chase sentenced

MCLEAN COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A Kentucky man accused of leading police on a two-county chase learns his fate.

50-year-old Tony Vanover pleaded guilty to charges, including fleeing police and wanton endgangerment.

He received a five-year sentence.

In June, police say a state trooper pulled him over, but then Vanover sped off.

Vanover led police on a pursuit that started in McLean County, then went into Muhlenberg County and came back into McLean County.

It ended when authorities boxed him in.

One trooper lost control of his car during the chase, which topped 100 miles per hour.
