A mother in Louisville posted an unusual gender reveal.
She celebrated her trans son with a photo shoot that has gone viral on social media.
“20 years ago, Heather Green was stocking her new baby girl’s room with everything pink.”
But blue turned out to be her color.
Hannah’s birthday, the 29th of January, came with the annual Facebook tribute from mom, Heather.
This year’s post though – is about Adrian.
“When your child comes out as trans…I honor who you are, and I respect your courage to be unapologetically you. Let’s celebrate.”
Adrian’s introduction to the world with what else, but a photo shoot.
“I mean my kids are used to me coming up with these hairbrained schemes all the time. He was like
“You’re crazy but yes of course,” which was a fair reaction.”
A “pregnant” Heather, welcoming her new son 20 years after his birth, with blue balloons, Teddy bears wrapped in a baby blanket, and covered by his family’s love.
The post seen around the world, with 15,000 shares and counting.
“I thought this was sort of a struggle I had to do by myself and it’s really heartwarming to see there are so many people out there who share the same story that I do and are so supportive of a complete stranger and it gives me a lot of hope.”
Creating something fun out of the tough stuff, with someone who is always there to hold his hand.
“I know a lot of people don’t have the same level of support as I do, and it breaks my heart. But knowing that I’ve got a support system like them it’s amazing you know.”
Heather said the photo shoot happened on a whim.
They got their props at Party City and Heather’s boyfriend’s daughter snapped the pictures.
