Beshear gives update on state’s response to tornado damage

KENTUCKY (WEHT) – Gov. Andy Beshear gave an update on Tuesday on the state’s response to the deadly tornado that hit Kentucky last week. He was joined at the briefing by Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman and Michael Dossett, director of the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management.

According to Beshear, 122 Kentuckians are still unaccounted for as local, state and federal crews continue rescue and recovery efforts. The official death toll remains 74 people in Kentucky ranging in age from two-months to 98-years-old.

Beshear was also in Muhlenberg County on Tuesday surveying damage from the tornadoes.
