New information about the bizarre abduction case that ended in Kentucky.

The man who abducted 20-year-old Skylar Williams was apparently ready for a showdown with law enforcement.

Kentucky State Police say 24-year-old Ty’rell Pounds was wearing a bulletproof vest when he was shot to death by troopers.

Authorities say Williams was shot in the arm by Pounds, and later died.

We are told that Pounds and Williams had a child together.

Earlier this week, officers say pounds abducted Williams from Ohio State University Mansfield, then drove to Kentucky, where he was stopped by troopers in Oldham County, just east of Louisville.

Kentucky State Police say they heard a shot fired in Pounds’ vehicle, and that’s when troopers opened fire.
