A Kentucky man is standing united with the military and ‘armed.’
One concerned resident stands guard at the military recruitment office in London, Kentucky.
Bryan Cheak, a father of an Iraq veteran is volunteering his time to protect the military men and women inside the recruitment offices, and he’s doing it with his personal firearm. Cheak says he decided to do this after learning recruiting offices in Kentucky are considered ‘gun-free’ zones.
“It’s all about making sure the guys and ladies inside these offices can tell children goodbye and that mommy or daddy is coming home. To let them know someone in the community has their back,” said Cheak.
Cheak says he’s protecting those who can’t protect themselves and is calling his mission: ‘Operation Defend the Defenders.’
