The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced short-term lane closures on I-64 near Evansville, set to start on Tuesday, March 5.
Starting on or around that date, contractors will shut down the westbound right lane of I-64 about two miles west of the I-69 interchange to replace sensors in the pavement.
On March 6, workers will close eastbound lanes for the same work.
The eastbound left lane will shut down from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and the eastbound right lane will close from 2-5 p.m.
It’s expected to take about two days to complete depending on weather.
Sensors on the interstate are used to collect traffic data, INDOT said.
